Differences and Simalarities- The Bet and The Veldt

These past few weeks the class has been working on blog posts The Bet and the Veldt, by now I’m sure that you have read them and are wondering what they have in common. When you first read these or read about these stories, you don’t really see the connection, but when you read the two stories together you can see how they are similar.
Some reasons of how they are similar are due to the different vocabulary used the stories, the settings of the stories, genre and the theme, the characters, and the events that occur in the stories. Not only are these the differences between the two stories but of course they also have some things in common, one of those things is the power that each of the characters have between other characters. The power that connects these stories is strong and I’m sure that it is something that is not only used between characrters in stories.
Differences and simalarites are imporatant things in any two stories because it can help explain to any reader what really is well…different and simalar. I hope that you keep in mind that these two things are imporant and they really come in handy in junior high.
