Donations to Africa

October 26th, 2006 by kdanielle

There are many different problems in the world like disasters, deaths, murders, and crashes. These things happen all over the world but one of most common places where these things happen is in Africa. Many different things happen in Africa every day, and a lot of people have tried to help Africa by donating money, food, clothing, and toys for small children. And right now there is another donation, which is going to Africa it is called ( RED). The person in charge of it all is Bono of U2, he has convinced companies of all kinds to make red products. Some companies like GAP, and Apple computers, they have managed to make clothing and a red ipod nano. With these products made a lot of many has been coming to these companies and whatever money they make fifteen dollars of each product that is made is donated to Africa. But here is something to think about…are these companies doing it to support Africa, or are they just doing this to get good publicity? So tell me what you think.

This is a picture of some people in a village called Nata.

Feudal Society

October 17th, 2006 by kdanielle

In the middle ages things were very different, they had a whole different lifestyle than us who are in the year 2006.  I always just wonder what life would be like in castles and what I would live like.  If you would like to also find this out I would definitly suggest that you read this blog post.

Castles:

Castles in the middle ages were about attacks and how to defend attacks.  The people in the middle ages had a lot of different ways to defend there castles a couple of ways that they did was by: they used moats so that their enemies could not get to the castle walls.  Another way to protect their castle was to use arrow holes, they would shoot arrows frim them and then duck behind them, the final way they protected their castle was by a pale of water because they would put the pale on the tower and if it wiggles that means there are sappers under the castle.  So they would go kill the enimies trying to get in the castle before they burnt and killed all of the people. The way that they used to defend these things from happening was to use weapons such as swords, spears and arrows.  so as you can see the castle life isnt very easy there are a lot of things that people have to go through.

So now me and all of you who are reading this know what the castle life was like in the middle ages.

Photography: Taking a Picture

Taking a Picture:

There are many different reasons why you are taking a picture.  You could be taking a picture fro memories, you could be taking it for and art show, you could just take it for fun, and you could have to take pictures like me in our class as you know we are supposed to take pictures for school.  It is very fun and entertaing when you take pictures because you can do it in so many ways.  So when you do take a picture you want to do a very good job on what you take the picture of and how you take a picture.  You have to be sure that you take it at the right angle, what colours are in the picture, if the lighting is good or bad, what effects you might use on the picture, and if you think that picture ids even good or not.  So as you can see taking a picture has a lot of ups and downs to it but they are still fun to take! :)

Photography: Effects and Taking a Picture that is Good in your Eyes

October 3rd, 2006 by kdanielle

Yesterday morning our teacher had told us to write blog post for marks. He also said that we were going to be writing about photography.  So  am going to write a blog post about if anyone cant ake a good picture or can’t.

Taking a picture that is good to you:

When you take a picture you have to take pictures that you think are good not what any of your friends think are good.  So that means that you have to always take a picture of something that you think is good in your eyes.  In my opinion I think that a good picture is nature because I think that it is beautiful in so many ways.  So the next time you go and take a picture you should really think about what you are fixing to take a picture of before you go and snap the shot.

Effects:

When you take a bad picture and then try to fix it by putting crazy effects on it to make it better you are only making it worse.  You have to start out wiht a good picture and then if you think that it still needs effects then add them.  But my point is that you have to start out with a good picture first and then try to fix it.  Since we have started photography in my classroom I look around at other people’s pictures with a lot of effects on them and then I wonder is this good in their eyes?

Do you think I’m right?

Do you have another opinion?

My Friends :)

October 2nd, 2006 by kdanielle

My friends are very important to me and I dont know what I  would do without them.  Friends are very important people in your  lives and you should never forget a friend.  You should know a lot about your friends and they should know a lot about you.  So to test how much you know about your friends you should just ask yourself some questions, and if you find that you don’ t know enough about your friend then that means that you should be spending more time with them or pay more attention to them.

Fights:
When your friends get into a fight and your not in it just leave it alone let them work it out and if they can’t work it out then you just say to yourself just because all of my friends aren’t all friends that doesn’t mean that you dont have to be friends with one of them or even a couple of them.  So when you find that your friends are in a fight you know what to do about it.

Rumors:

Ok say that you are talking with your good friend and then as you are talking they interupt you and tells you what another one of your good friends has said about you.  Do you believe them? The answer to that question is no.  You should’t believe what everyone tells you even if they are your very best friends but I’m not saying that you should’t believe your friends but just know if they are lieing or not beofre you go and freak out on someone, so you shouldn’t believe it unless you have heard it from their own mouths or if they have confessed to what they have said about you.  So when you hear rumors about what all your friends have said about you follow those ideas.

So as you can see friends are a very important thing in your life and as I had said before you should never forget them.   :)

Until next time…Katherine
